The short version

We hold your email, what you told the quiz, and — if you buy a plan — what you told the intake form. We use it to build and deliver your plan, and to count how many buyers get to week four. We do not sell it. We do advertise, and we measure that advertising: Google Analytics and the Meta pixel record your visit, which means you may be shown our ads elsewhere.

What we hold, and for how long

WhatWhyHow long
Your email addressTo send your diagnostic result, your plan, and to sign you in. There are no passwords. While your account exists, then 24 months.
Your email address, before you finish the quizThe quiz asks for it up front so your result can be sent to you. That is the only thing it is used for — we do not send marketing to it.12 months if you never finish the quiz or buy.
Your diagnostic answersTo score your marketing and name the one bottleneck holding it back.12 months if you never buy; otherwise with your account.
What you typed in your own wordsThe free-text answers you gave where the quiz asked why. Used to write your plan. With your diagnostic.
Your intake answersYour business, customers, competitors, tools and hours — what makes the plan yours rather than generic. With your account.
Your plan and your progress on itTo show you the plan you bought and to measure how many buyers reach week four. With your account.
Payment recordsStripe processes the payment; we keep the amount, the date and a reference.Retained for tax purposes after deletion, with the email removed.
How you used the siteGoogle Analytics and the Meta pixel record the pages you visit, roughly where you are, and which advert brought you. We use it to tell whether our advertising works.Held by Google and Meta under their own retention settings; we keep no copy.

Who else touches it

These companies process data on our behalf. We name them rather than calling them “our partners”.

  • Netlify — Hosting and content delivery (United States)
  • Supabase — Database and authentication (United States)
  • Stripe — Payment processing (United States and Ireland)
  • Resend — Transactional email (United States)
  • Upstash — Rate limiting (United States)
  • Sentry — Error monitoring (United States)
  • Google (Analytics) — Website analytics (United States)
  • Meta (Pixel) — Advertising measurement (United States)

They are in the United States, so your data is transferred there. We rely on the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses, depending on the vendor.

Deleting it

Signed in, you can delete your account from your account page. It removes your profile, your plan, your progress and your intake answers, and strips your email from your diagnostic. Payment records survive with the email removed, because we have to keep them for tax.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Write to admin@liamwiseo.com. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and tracking

We set a cookie to keep you signed in, and one to remember your diagnostic result before you have an account. Neither is used for advertising.

We also run Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. They set their own cookies, record the pages you visit, and let us see which adverts brought people here — the Meta pixel in particular can recognise you on other sites where Meta operates. You can stop Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on, and control Meta's use of your activity in your Meta ad settings. A tracker blocker stops both.
